Every photo contains hidden data — GPS location, AI traces, device model. MetaCleaner removes it in 5 seconds, before you publish.
Every photo carries data that’s invisible on the image — but accessible to anyone.
Anyone who shares photos online and wants to know what they’re sharing.
Three steps. Five seconds. No installation.
EXIF metadata is removed directly in your browser. For C2PA manifest removal, photos are temporarily sent to our secure server — deleted immediately after processing. We only see your email.
Removes metadata from Midjourney, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion, Firefly and other AI tools that Instagram detects and uses for labeling.
Removes exact GPS location, date and time of capture, camera model and all technical EXIF metadata.
Removes cryptographically signed C2PA Content Credentials embedded by DALL-E 3, Adobe Firefly, Midjourney 6.1+ and Sora. Runs automatically on the server via ExifTool.
Every cleaning session can generate a PDF report with a complete metadata overview before and after. Agencies and freelancers use it as proof that content went through verification before publishing.
Report includes:
✓ Filename + SHA-256 hash (verifiable)
✓ List of removed metadata — GPS, EXIF, C2PA
✓ Clean Score before and after
✓ Date and time of processing
Not an email summary. A real auditable document.
$1.99 / report · included in Pro plan ($6.49/mo)
Every photo you publish for a client carries technical traces. Risk Scanner displays them clearly before and after cleaning: Clean Score 0–100, GPS, AI tool, device model, timestamp.
PDF report serves as:
→ Proof for the client that data was not compromised
→ Agency internal SOP before publishing
→ Evidence of personal data processing (GDPR relevant)
Not a feature. The standard of every professional agency.
The filename reveals the photo's origin before it's even opened. MetaCleaner automatically renames files to a neutral format — for example ChatGPT Image 7. 5. 2026 14_07_56.png → IMG_2330.jpg.
We only clean metadata — the image itself remains completely untouched. For photos with a C2PA manifest, the file size may decrease significantly — the manifest contains cryptographic signatures and hidden data that are no longer needed after removal. Image quality is identical to the original.
Simple pricing. Credits never expire.
"I use Midjourney and before every Instagram upload everything goes through MetaCleaner. Setup takes a minute, then it's an automatic part of my workflow."
"I appreciate the transparency — the Before/After overview directly in the app clearly shows what was removed. Risk Scanner is exactly what I was looking for when working with clients."
"At $4.99 for 50 photos it's the simplest way to keep metadata under control. I use it before every post on Threads and Instagram."
Yes, absolutely. EXIF metadata is removed locally in your browser. For C2PA manifest removal, photos are sent to our secure server and deleted immediately after processing. We only see your email and credit count.
Yes. Meta (Instagram, Threads, Facebook) actively reads EXIF and XMP metadata from photos. AI tools like Midjourney write their identifier into the metadata — and Meta uses this for automatic AI content labeling.
No. We only remove metadata — invisible data hidden in the file. The image itself is not changed at all. File size decreases slightly, but quality remains identical.
We support JPG/JPEG, PNG, HEIC (iPhone) and WEBP. Video support (MP4, MOV) coming soon.
Article 50 of the EU AI Act comes into effect on August 2, 2026, introducing mandatory labeling of AI-generated content. It primarily targets commercial AI content and paid promotion. MetaCleaner helps eliminate automatic platform labeling — follow ongoing legislative developments for compliance obligations.
